This department is an opening to the world of media and digital arts. With a dominant knowledge-based society, we have to capture significant opportunities for our young thinking brains. To address this, we started several courses based on the foundation of practical, theoretical and analytical approaches of current trends in mass communication. TMV established this department in the year
2006-07.
We are following the guidelines prescribed by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Courses are designed to equip students to find exciting and creative careers in the growing business of the media industry.
We believe in preparing aspiring students and professionals in most of the fields in media and digital arts, by delivering excellent Postgraduate, Graduate, Diploma and Certificate programs in television, film, radio, journalism and animation. We provide art based knowledge of digital design, VFX, SFX, 2D,3D animation, and current understanding of acting, drawing and painting techniques. Thus fulfilling the Mass communication’s responsibility to educate, inform and entertain the masses.

Dr. Keshav Sathaye is a distinguished media expert with over four decades of experience in TV, radio, and digital media. Holding a master's degree and a Ph.D. in Communication Science, he began his career at Doordarshan Mumbai in 1981, producing over 700 television programs.Dr. Sathaye has worked extensively in educational TV, held teaching positions, and authored four books, including "Broadcast Journalism & Digital Media, Television & Mass Media " He regularly contributes for the major news papers on media related issues. Recognised for his contributions, Dr. Sathaye has received awards such as the Sudha Atre award and the TACCI award for outstanding contribution to media education. His NGO involvement includes founding the Maharashtra Council of Educational Administration & Management.With a rich professional history, Dr. Sathaye's expertise spans government media organizations, educational initiatives, media production, and academia, making him a respected figure in the media industry.
